PostHeaderIcon What Travel and Homer Simpson Have In Common

In my many years of travel all over the globe, I have met many different people. Along the way I have learned many of life’s truths, among the most outstanding of all and believe me there are many, I want to share with you today.

On the top of my list are three kinds of people in the world:

1) Those that make things happen.
2) Those that watch things happen.
3) Those that wonder what happened.

Now let’s examine them one at a time. According to science and technology the BUMBLE BEE CAN NOT FLY, and there are many scientific proof it is impossible, it cannot be done. There is, however, one problem… in real life the BUMBLE BEE does not know it cannot fly, so it just keeps on flying.

How many times have you’ve been told, “WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU CAN DO THAT ha ha ha?” You see I, too, went into business once when all my friends laughed at me. In my ignorance I did it anyway, you know why? In my mind’s dictionary the words, CAN’T and FAILURE do not exist. To this day I decide, not them I just go ahead and make things happen.

Then there are the side liners. The know-it-all’s who watch and see what you are doing just waiting for you to fail. That’s when their going to tell you, “See I knew it wouldn’t work!” God forbid you should succeed, then they will tell you, “Well it worked for you, wouldn’t work for me.”

Here I suggest put your blinders on, plug your ears, it’s your life you’re interested in not theirs. Keep on making things happen for you and your family.

The majority of people are in this group. They just trot along in life letting others decide how much they are worth, where they will live, when and how long they can go on vacation. They never make a decision on their own, or dare to make any meaningful changes in their lives.

Forty, 50 years later they wonder, “What Happened?” Well folks the system is designed that way. Remember God gave you the freedom of choice. Don’t take my word for it, look at the statistics:

o What percentage of people are rich?
o How many are well off?
o How many are like You?

homer-simpsonThis reminds me of the Simpsons, the animated TV show where Homer is being asked by the tax man why he is throwing a thousand dollars a month in the wishing well? His answer, “Because I am wishing for more money!” My advise is don’t be a Homer! If wishing would be the answer, we’d all be rich don’t you agree?

Take a close look at your mind’s dictionary and delete any and all words you have been programmed with all your life that are negative in nature. Replace them with “YES I CAN = CHANGE YOUR MIND AND CHANGE YOUR LIFE.”
